Kids in the Beehive Quick Guide to our Favourite Nearby Free or low cost Summer Splash Pools!

We know it rains most of the time in Manchester but we have been incredibly lucky with our weather recently and hopefully more sunshine is on its way.

If your kids are bored of the paddling pool in the back garden and looking for somewhere bigger to let off steam and keep cool check out our guide to the nearest places to go.

Without doubt when the weather in Manchester is nice the fountains in Piccadilly Gardens are full of children splashing around but if you fancy a day out to a proper splash pad we have a few of our favourites.

Please note most splash pads listed only operate in summer months so do check the websites before making your journey.

Let us know your favourite places to go for a paddle and we will add them!

Happy Mount Park – Morecambe

We love Happy Mount Park!

Again this is another day trip out but well worth it.

With sensor activated sprinklers and water jets and a soft playground type surface that means it is also accessible to children in wheelchairs Happy Mount provides a great environment of spill buckets, water arches and cannons for masses of fun.

Playing in the Splash Park at Happy Mount Park costs just £1 per child or adult (wristbands can be purchased from the green kiosk in the park)

Happy Mount has plenty of other activities on offer from swing boats to indoor play and adventure golf.
